Mrs. Nora Mukiibi contacted me about this Project in 1998 and asked me to look for sponsors and well wishers. Because of expensive land phone lines then and she did not have one as well, we lost contact.
However, in 2007 she contacted me again with her mobile phone. It has been a tough road but we have made a great impact with the limited funds and communication. We managed to finish one building and the Clinic was opened. It got Govt. clearance about four years back . The Clinic functions on a average.
The few equipment was stolen. But the patients are diagnosed and helped in any way. Unfortunately, the little we had managed to bring it to a recognised operating medical facility with a few beds, a microscope for blood samples, a stethoscope, and others, disappeared with the last personnel there.
Her sister, Mrs. Julayina N. Kato, another one of the dreamers for this Project lives far but her input has also helped.
Nora's is asking you all to make this dream come true while she is here.
Right now the road looks bright.
We have a new Medical Worker, Elizabeth Ssanyu and she is eager to expand the services.
